The Beavercreek High School AFJROTC Aviation Clubs provide cadets with hands-on opportunities to explore aviation, aerospace engineering, and flight. Through model rocketry, remote-controlled aircraft, and drone operations, students apply classroom concepts to real-world experiences while developing teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Whether launching rockets or piloting aircraft, cadets gain valuable STEM experiences while exploring exciting career opportunities in aviation, aerospace, engineering, and technology.
Aviation Opportunities
🚀 Model Rocketry
Model Rocketry introduces cadets to the principles of aerospace engineering, design, and flight through the construction and launch of model rockets.
Cadets learn:
- Rocket design and construction
- Flight principles
- Aerodynamics
- Safety procedures
- Aerospace engineering concepts
Participation helps students develop STEM skills while fostering an interest in aviation and space-related careers.
Achievement: Cadets who successfully complete program requirements may earn the Model Rocketry Badge.
🛩️ Remote-Controlled Aircraft & Drones
Cadets take learning beyond the classroom by flying remote-controlled airplanes and drones.
Participants gain experience in:
- Flight controls
- Aviation safety
- Aircraft operations

- Teamwork and communication
- Aerospace career exploration
These hands-on experiences allow students to apply concepts learned in AFJROTC while developing confidence and technical skills.
