AFJROTC provides unique opportunities that build leadership, citizenship, confidence, and lifelong memories.

Featured Opportunities

Cadets attend leadership training events designed to strengthen teamwork, communication, confidence, and decision-making skills while working alongside students from other AFJROTC programs.

Community service is at the heart of AFJROTC.

Each year, AFJROTC cadets contribute more than 1.6 million hours of service nationwide.

Beavercreek cadets support organizations and events such as:

  • Air Force Marathon
  • Very Special Arts
  • USA Patriot Amputee Events
  • Local community improvement projects
  • Veteran and memorial activities

Learning extends beyond the classroom through educational trips connected directly to AFJROTC curriculum.

Past destinations include:

  • National Museum of the U.S. Air Force
  • Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

Potential future destinations:

  • Gettysburg National Military Park
  • Washington, D.C.

These longstanding military traditions build camaraderie, teamwork, and esprit de corps in a fun and memorable setting.

Earn Your Private Pilot License

Selected cadets may attend a FREE eight-week summer aviation training program at partnering universities across the country.

Upon successful completion, cadets earn a Private Pilot Certification with no military service obligation required.

Learn the Basics of Aviation

Students explore aviation careers and gain hands-on experience through introductory flight training and simulator activities.

A formal evening celebrating military tradition, leadership, friendship, and school pride.

Highlights include:

  • Formal dinner
  • POW/MIA Table Ceremony
  • Recognition of cadet court members
  • Social activities with neighboring AFJROTC programs

Cadets may earn local and national awards recognizing outstanding achievements in academics, leadership, service, and character.

  • American Legion Award
  • Purple Heart Association Award
  • Air Force Sergeants Association Award

Experience Flight Firsthand

Through partnerships with Civil Air Patrol, cadets can participate in orientation flights that introduce them to aviation and aerospace careers.
